She also specialized in Community and Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, Western Psychiatry Institute and Clinic.
During her residency years, she embarked in many interesting projects including the making of the documentary, “Madly Gifted”, produced by New York artist Gigi Polo. She also received the APA Diversity Leadership Fellowship Award in 2010 and the Byron Wilkenfeld Psychiatric Resident Scholarship Award by the Group Psychotherapy Foundation in 2012. After graduating from her residency program, she worked with undeserved populations in northern West Virginia and received the 2016 APA award “For the Advancement of Minority Mental Health.”
She is a Certified Correctional Mental Healthcare Provider (CCHP-MH) by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), with a strong interest in improving the care of mentally ill persons involved in the justice system.
Dr. Lluberes has expertise in other therapeutic approaches, including ECT, TMS, and Office-based Buprenorphine.
She is an active member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL), American Association of Community Psychiatrist (AACP), American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) among other regional and local professional societies, and a fellow member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a safe, noninvasive neuromodulation procedure that uses magnetic fields in a localized area of the brain to treat Depression.
You will need to present for an initial evaluation to decide if this treatment modality is a good fit for you. If you are approved, the commitment consists of one session per day, five days a week (Monday-Friday), for a total of thirty-six (36) sessions.

Weekly group sessions based on CBT strategies. Sessions last 1 hour. Groups are composed of 8 members, leader and co-leader. Each process group has a distinctive topic to work on (depression, loss, anxiety, substance use, etc).

Forensic Interviews last 4 or more hours depending on the case. Interviewees need to come prepared for a long interview. Bring water, lunch or snacks to the visit. Do not come accompanied by your lawyer, minors, or family members unless instructed to do so.

First visit is intended to evaluate the condition and fitness for treatment.
Follow up is recommended on a weekly basis for a total of 8 sessions once the patient is deemed fit for this type of treatment. After weekly sessions, a motivated patient may progress to biweekly session and later to monthly sessions. Progression is contingent on ability to maintain sobriety and treatment goals.
